# How to restore a backup or snapshot file?

Restoring a backup or a snapshot can be done in under 2 clicks, this guide will help you.

1. Visit the relevant Scalable Cloud Server manage page
2. Click on the relevant tab; **Backups** or **Snapshots**
3. Click on the restore button next to the relevant file you wish to restore

4. Click **Yes** on the popup to initiate the restoration process


||| Restoring backups or snapshots will overwrite your Scalable Cloud Server to the creation date of the chosen backup or snapshot file.
