# How to use the API?

CloudCone offers a full REST API to take control of your account, we use an API key and API hash authentication method to authenticate your account to use the API

# Generating the Credentials

1. You need to log in at https://app.cloudcone.com
2. Navigate to the [API Page](https://app.cloudcone.com/user/api) under the profile menu
3. Click on Generate new

4. It will ask you to enter a name for your API for your reference
5. Once you set that, click on the **Generate** button

Once that's done, you will be shown with your new API credentials, you can generate multiple API credentials to work on your account.
